i want to teach them how to use the tools at their disposal to fix their situation. or, to recognize when it’s not fixable. then decide; is this transient? do i need help? or just deal with it.

i’m frustrated when they complain, e.g. that the car we’re riding in is just too warm or too cold. take off your coat? or put it on. adapt.

drop a piece of lettuce on the floor, cats act like you’re trying to poison them. let them near houseplants and they think it’s some sort of buffet.
