i hope someday they see the challenge, know the limits, are curious to experience. when we hit -17F here in Rindge a few years back, i went outside. i had to know.

i’m frustrated when they complain, e.g. that the car we’re riding in is just too warm or too cold. take off your coat? or put it on. adapt.

i want to teach them how to use the tools at their disposal to fix their situation. or, to recognize when it’s not fixable. then decide; is this transient? do i need help? or just deal with it.
