this morning i was wondering why my blog doesn't prompt a ‘Show Reader' button in Safari.

ultimately i ruled out any page structure issues. and i noticed - if you access the URL directly, you see ‘Show Reader.' if you navigate from my blog index or homepage, you don't. UNLESS - you reload the page.

if you have @view-transition { navigation: auto; } in your CSS, Safari fails to display the option for Reader view.
