a quick project this morning while the shop warms up: a plywood box to store some of my heavy/awkward metal working tools. scrap plywood and random screws.

tool notes: that 4” dewalt battery-powered circular saw is my favorite tool i’ve ever used. also, i borrowed my wife’s drill to use for the countersinking bit, so i had drill / drill / driver. it’s amazing how much faster projects go when you don’t have to changeover tools.

a photo of a plywood box i built, holding a sheet metal bender and some clamps. behind it are the hand tools i used to make it - a small circular saw, a drill with a small drill bit, a drill with a countersinking drill bit, and a drill/driver

a side note. sometimes it feels essential to work on a project like this. my only success criteria is ‘box.’ not ‘pretty box’ or ‘really straight and square box.’ i am the only stakeholder and nobody else is going to care about the outcome.
