today for a while i actually wrote code and it actually worked and i was super happy with myself and definitely been reconsidering this shift towards pseudo-management which does not bring me joy. i love making things. i don’t love yelling at people to update Jira.

and let me clarify; i don’t object to being put in a position of responsibility, i object to this particular position where i am responsible, but i have no agency. i want to support my team and let them do their best work — they rock, but i’m powerless to truly make decisions.
