it’s been a rough week for me — new puppy breaks all routines. i just came off of a project at work and i’m idle, which stresses me out more than hard work does. but we got through it. so here’s a photo of my puppy sleeping with his tongue out.

precip today was pretty awful, 7 or 8 inches of snow then it started pouring rain. i cleared the driveway just as it was changing over. tonight the slush on top of the snow will probably freeze up

parenting tip - when your kids are playing Battleship, as they’re calling out letter/number coordinates, occasionally pop your head into the room and shout “Bingo!”

a concerning problem in Windows 11: i have my desktop set to change every minute, shuffle, and fit is ‘fill’ sometimes i see a flash when the picture changes. i’m not sensitive to this, but some are.

my favorite part of Windows 11 update is: since i have the taskbar auto-hiding, there’s a new minigame to figure out where the start menu button will be since they centered all taskbar icons
