wealthy people hire (teams of) brilliant accountants to help them pay as little tax as possible.

they literally game the system. that's how the system is built, by congresspeople (who are mostly wealthy).

1st day of school! i discovered that Chrome is usurping my DNS-server-based website blocker to keep the kids from playing browser games instead of doing schoolwork. tonight i put their ethernet into the managed switch & tomorrow they go on a VLAN & get filtered. sigh.

saw a nice family today having lunch in the gazebo on the square in town. looked like relatives showed up to join them. no masks. kisses and hugs.

i've now been exclusively using a standing (only) desk at home for 4 months. one thing i really miss from my sit/stand setup in the office is: leaning back in my chair. for various reasons, leaning back in my chair was quite useful.
