i’m so tired. i managed to slip back into “work like heck all weekend on house projects because there’s work on monday” even though there’s technically not work on monday
i finally got everything onto my desk (PC was on a cabinet before) and all cords tucked up! laptop shelf is awaiting future employer’s macbook pro (probably)
spent today doing a lot of work around the house, now i’m trying to finish up all the household tech debt projects i was “able” to do while i had”free time”
i’m rounding out my skills by doing a complete react dev course but it’s from 2017 and i’m learning a lot about what’s changed in webpack since then and M1 macs didn’t exist then and i feel like the best option maybe is to kobayashi maru
Overall stats from not commuting, from my last day in the office to my last day working remotely for IBM:

it’s been interesting to talk to companies who interview me as a leader and who talk about growth and finding people who will foster talent & support the team & build a culture …
and then get a rejection email from a no-reply@ email address telling me i’m not technical enough.
it might be sacrilegious to use these lovely Mustang wheels i had in my shed for snow tires, but the Flex needs more traction and sidewall for the winter than the stock 20’s provide
today’s quick but useful project - cutting a base to attach to my new chop saw and a block to hold longer material level. allows me to store the saw standing up (eventually i’ll put eyelets on the edge and literally hang it on the wall)
that thing where you reply to a tweet with a dumb joke and then you think “oh no what if someone else already made that joke” so you check all their replies and you SEE YOUR JOKE and you panic for a sec and then you realize that was your own reply …
