@mikesusz social feed.

@caseyliss @hotdogsladies paperliss?

@hotdogsladies what would Walter Sobchak think about this

@fred oh look, a car full of cabinet appointees

@marcamos wow 13? he doesn’t look a day over 26. are you going to celebrate when he gets home from his shift at the plant?

@marcamos the movement was wonky for me and i couldn’t get into it. i’m probably a bad person.

@threetonesun @marcamos

@waxy
“why does my delivery robot always suddenly veer across the street and zoom into the park over there”
“that’s where a Snorlax spawned!”

@m750 oh you got them new bluetooth bearings in there

@m750 @jerzone would scare off the bears, probably. maybe just headlamps on the alpacas or something

this weekend i finally got to work on important projec… lol no, truckloads of leaves to the transfer station again.

it’s only “AI” if it comes from the Artificiél region in France

otherwise it’s just sparkling Machine Learning

@kgf ten billion dollars is a lot of coffee

i live my life one 90-day forced corporate password reset at a time. and for those 90 days, i am free.

@jerzone i discovered this when i wanted to find my photos of NYC that it keeps pulling for my lock screen.

@jerzone tap and hold your lock screen, customize, lock screen, 3 dot menu (lower right), “show in photo library”

“powerful package”

@drdrang and the podcasts that never even expose an RSS feed! only links to the major services. kinda maddening.

@jayroh planning a career. seeing where you are, where that leads to, making crucial strategic decisions to get there. including, probably most important - saying no to things that don’t move you forward/upward.

recently discovered that in the Health app, my Apple devices are recording data and inferring things about my mobility fitness. i wish there was a “Dog Walk” workout option that would omit data for that particular activity.

walk. stop. walk. stop. get pulled sideways. walk. stop. bend over. walk. stop. spin around to untangle the leash. run a little. stumble. stop.

@heymarkreeves they've got 2 weeks to take down all the campaign signs, maybe then

once again, grilling by flashlight, but this time in a T-shirt. It is 63° on November 6 at 7 PM.

i don’t want to wake my kids up because i know the first thing they’re going to ask me.

@annika mikey!

@m750 this is what i always say we’re choosing a bus driver. pick the one who will drive the bus better. you don’t have to be friends with them.

@marcamos i'd really love something like a site with a chronological timeline so you can choose where you like checked-out on new stuff and see everything added since then

so we set our clocks back an hour and now at 5pm it feels like we should have eaten dinner three hours ago and three hours from now it will feel like midnight

@cabel oh! i get it. sweet, thanks!

@cabel can you share the link to the original The Crate list you mentioned? i searched for it but Apple Music search is abysmal

me, this morning: “ooh today i can work on this project or that project or…”

yeah i gathered up and hauled 5 truckloads of leaves to the transfer station. now i’ll probably fall down and take a nap.

@jerzone this sounds like something cell-phone store bros would do also. just a hunch.

@threetonesun will do. i'm also working on porting my wordpress blog to Astro because (well... _gestures broadly_ and) my shared hosting is charging me more because my WP theme is broken with latest PHP version. bleh. just want to be done with all that.

@threetonesun the screenshots tell a bit more of the story, it seems familiar to other site hosting platforms i've used. i figure for (nothing dollars/month) i could give it a go and see if i can make it work. https://coolify.io/docs/screenshots

does anyone i know run Coolify? thoughts/experiences? thinking of spinning up another Linode and migrate my sites over to it (from netlify, and shared hosting)

reinstalling SVN so i can grab a copy of my wordpress plugin before i have it removed from the repository.

@film_girl i should probably talk to my doctor about my unease with flying but this usually does the trick and doesn't involve ... talking to my doctor

@jerzone for my kids phones i have the folks at whatever kiosk at the mall install screen protectors. i know it's egregiously expensive but they know what they're doing and i don't. :D

@jerzone oh wow. i haven’t actually broken a phone screen yet but i got a bit of a gouge on this one shortly after i got it. it seems that resistance to shattering and resistance to scratching and inversely proportional

@fred Fred you’ve lived in New Hampshire, you should know that isn’t an option

@jerzone smacked it on something in the garage when i was moving boxes around. didn’t really notice at the time.

well i don’t get a break in november.

this is why i put guards on my apple watch.

if Maude Lebowski did in fact conceive a child with The Dude, their kid would be 25 years old now.

@jayroh lol wut ok boomer k thx bai

excited to read the m4 macbook pro announcements today. my employer has me on the schedule for a ‘device refresh’ in … (checks notes) 2026. when my intel macbook pro will be seven years past its manufacturing date.

roughly the size of the new Mac Mini.

@jsnell so the footprint is about the size of a CD case!

Weed: Very High

@threetonesun but when i use that second one during morning standup they report me to HR

@threetonesun @fred the white whale is a properly formatted data table

@threetonesun @marcamos i have at times found it frustrating to write in MD when i want like embedded images styled to align left or right, or responsive stuff. i’m beholden to the output of whatever markdown->html parser my blog framework (astro) is using
